Freer Consulting Co.

ISM

The purpose of the International Safety Management (ISM) Code is to provide an international standard for the safe management and operation of ships at sea and for pollution prevention. Since the maritime industry operates under a wide range of different conditions, the Code is based on a system of general principles and objectives which can have widespread applications. Freer Consulting Co. has trained auditors on staff to guide the company through the implementation and internal audit phase of the safety management program, culminating in the issuance of the Document of Compliance by an external audit agency. Freer recognizes that the key element in successful safety management is commitment from both the top echelons of management and individuals at all levels of the operational areas that determine the ultimate success of the safety and pollution prevention programs.
