Juice Products Association Model Tanker Wash Guidelines
Juice Products Association (JPA) Tanker Wash Manual
Freer and the client worked together to create a truck tanker wash manual, standard operating procedures, and a record keeping system that met the standards of the JPA Model Tanker Wash Guidelines. Freer conducted a gap analysis of the client’s truck wash procedures and recordkeeping and identified areas in which the client was not compliant with JPA standards. Freer and the client created a manual with procedures for washing truck tankers that hauled food grade products, e.g., fruit juices and slurries, etc., a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plan for identifying and controlling hazards that could contaminate tanker contents, standard forms for recordkeeping, and a folder system for storing records electronically. Freer then conducted an audit of the client’s trailer washing operations to identify any deficiencies and correct them as needed. The client was audited by the JPA and received JPA certification.
